Karen launched Pets and Peeps Personal Assistance Services in 2016 after a successful, decades-long career in the fast-paced world of sales and marketing both as a business owner and as a marketing professional for various large corporations. In a few short years her number of clients has zoomed to 150 and over 4,000 jobs completed, most of whom are now steady customers. I’m originally from the northern suburbs of Chicago. We moved to Georgia in 2014 and we’re in love with the countryside, mountains, and very little SNOW! Still a Chicago Cubs, Blackhawks, and Bears fan, but becoming a Braves and Falcons fan as well.
After we lost our wonderful Golden Retriever last year, I just wasn’t ready to fall in love again so I decided to join Pets and Peeps. What a great way to enjoy the companionship of a fur baby and help keep them healthy! Looking forward to many more walks with these “kids”!

“Since childhood, I have loved animals including cats, dogs, gerbils and rabbits. I grew up with a dog named “Frisby” who was great and loved on all the cats wandering around the neighborhood. I currently have two beautiful male, spoiled rotten cats who are now twelve years old. I believe ‘furry friends’ make a house a home. I will treat all pets with loving care, just like they are my own.”
After being a dental assistant for 20 years, I decided I wanted to work with animals. I got a job at a veterinarian office and worked there for 7 years, which is also where I started pet sitting. I love what I do especially getting to know all the precious pets!
I have always loved animals. As a child, I would feed the squirrels while on a picnic with my family! And I was also constantly trying to bring home stray cats. I have worked in the travel industry for many years, and my favorite trip was to South Africa so I could go on game drives to see the animals in their natural habitat. So I feel very lucky to be able to have a job where I can spend time taking care of dogs, cats, and even rabbits.
Lover of dogs, especially the Working class! Raised, loved and trained two German Shepherds; Nikki and Max!

Lucy’s Mutt Loaf
Lucy’s Mutt Loaf was created especially for one of our rescued black Labs. For the first five years of her life, Lucy lived in a puppy mill receiving very limited care. She was “skin and bones” when we rescued her and her living conditions resulted in the loss of several teeth. Lucy’s parents, Tom and Teresa Patek, started researching dog food to find the best possible combination of ingredients that she could manage to eat comfortably. After cooking for her for several years, we found the perfect recipe and decided to share it. That’s how Lucy’s Mutt Loaf was born!
